pclos is well good , ubuntu wont install on my pc, giving apt-get errors and X errors, imo i nearly gave up on linux as alternative to windows because of ubuntu grief, then i tried livecd of pclos and it worked great,, looks great, and after less than a week of using it i feel i am growing a linux beard !
dont know about the flame stuff but at least this texsta fella is around and on the case and passionate about his stuff, and based on my experience he is right , ubuntu is buggy like win 95 only win 95 will actually install

Apologizing is a hard thing to do. Textar made a bad mistake and he had apologized publicly. Why bother discussing this matter any further? I have used several distros, Ubuntu, Kubuntu, Puppylinux, Slackware 10.2, Mandriva 2006 & 2007, DSL, Linuxmints, Gentoo, and now I quite satisfied with PCLinuxOS. I am not going to defend Textar, but I am feeling obliged to say that he (and his team) has made a great distro. Period.
