Well for starters I totally agree with Oli. Secondly you all obviously have a PC or laptop. So why waste your money on an X360, PS3 or Wii? Why not invest that money into PC parts, the PC can be the best gaming console ever if you have the right hardware and software and a good internet connection! Don't be conned by commercial consoles! Alot of people on here supporting the PS3 have not learnt from the PS2.. Quite clearly, I mean get some sense The PS2 messed up quite badly when the first lot of units that were sold, started getting disc read errors 6 months after it's release. As for the Wii the Wii encourages people of all ages to become more active and not spend your days wasting your money on over priced games and sitting on your fat arses! But it's your choice if you choose to spend your money feeding large corporations millions each year on hardware and software which is quite frankly crap! Oooh check the figures http://nexgenwars.com/ looks like X360 is the superior console. Sorry PS3 lovers but the evidence states, THE PS3 SUCKS MAYJOR ARSE!!!! Deal with it learn from it AND DONT BE STUPID!

i aint rich, and a pc aint close to decent graphics if u want smooth play( unless u own a pc used by nasa). i hate the wii becoues its just daft and just useless if u want to play anthing other than sword fights or tennis!.i dont advise any one to buy a console till the format war is over. i only want people to not belive this guy saying alot of crap about the ps3. if its got problems then theyl be fixed an its a nice blend of the 360 an the wii.

My two year old PC begs to differ... Nothing really magical in there (compared to most recent PCs)... Didn't cost that much either. Great and smooth graphics, all the way...

all hate the wii(cheap, and swinging ur arm around is daft, and ul be shatterd after 1 hours play)

You think you're going to be a ball of energy after an hour of doing the Stevie-Wonder-Dance playing with the SIXAXIS' motion sensing?

i only want people to not belive this guy saying alot of crap about the ps3.

I've just taken what's been in the news and redisplayed it. I've even included the sources so you can check up on the particular incidents.

ur pc plays smooth on games older than the earth, pcs can be great but when lots of things start happening in a game e.g a bomb goes off. then u aint got smooth play

"You think you're going to be a ball of energy after an hour of doing the Stevie-Wonder-Dance playing with the SIXAXIS' motion sensing?"....
1. il be sat down
2. u move ur wrists not ur whole body, not close to swinging ur arm
3. il bet u can turn the motion thing off
4. there have already been accidents with the wii ( 2 player in small room, insane)

the only thing i can think off bad with the ps3 is u have to buy the BR, and if BR fails in the war i buy an XBOX

Matty I thought I replied again to you but I must have closed the tab without hitting the submit button.

My PC isn't slow. Games load fast and play well, regardless of how much is going on, on the screen. The other good thing about my PC is I can upgrade it when I like! I don't have to wait 7 years so see improved gaming!

But it does cost more but also does do a hell of a lot more, and it'll have a longer life-span than any console has. When I've finished using it as my primary desktop, it will become my primary Linux box... When I've got another new one, I'll probably push it off as a media centre. I've still got a P2 machine that I as a Linux appliance box.

Now I can see the PS3 being a little more useful as it gets older when compared to older consoles, but I really can't see it being as good as useful as a £450 PC will be when the next generation of consoles come out.

PooMan: Good argument. Well made.

i dont care what u say anymore couse i just discoverd whats gonna be the new thing for ps3, ps3 HOME. its an awsome 3d world with amazing graphics and its completly free, u design ur own room and can invite people round an a whole bunch of other stuff. before xbox an ps3 were kinda close but home is just to good.

and pcs will never replace consolse, there to much hassle and way to exspensive for what u get back
soon as ps3 is under £200 its mine!

Hell, when it's under £200, I'll take one because it'll still be a damned powerful computer! Paired with the BR player, £200 would make it one of the most awesome media centres in existence!

I probably wouldn't even use it for gaming, rather hack Linux onto it and use it as a little powerful computer... It would need a RAM upgrade though.

O.K...these things that u wrote down are just stuff that PS3 went through BEFORE it was released. Now that it is released you can clearly see that it is better than a 360 and as of now better than a computer. If I want to play a 360 game, all I will have to do is wait for a year to come to my computer...cuz my compter will be able to run it 3x as good as the 360 will. Most good 360 games are shooters...which suck on consoles anyway. With PS3 I'll be able to get games I will never be able to get on my computer...which is awesome. And besides that list of 122...not many gave PS3 any problems whatsoever. I mean over in japan...microsoft makes up less than 1% of the gaming industry...it sucks majorly. I mean talk about stealing money...microsoft is more to blame than the Sony. For the 360 to get hd quality video u have to buy and hd-dvd drive...and did u notice when you buy that it makes the 360 $600 just like the PS3...but wait, 360 doesnt have a full 1080p, so why the hell would i want an hd-dvd drive if i cant watch it in hd...thats just plain stupid. Another thing, does sony make you purchase rechargable batteries, no, it comes with the system, unlike 360 where i have to go and pay for the stupid thing seperately. I can also get a laptop hard drive and put it into my PS3, unlike 360 where i have to buy their hard drive which is 2x the price of a normal labtop hard drive. PS3 also has FREE intenet service and Wi-Fi like the Wii, I dont want to pay just to play online when im already paying for my internet service. And I have to pay even more to get Wi-Fi for the 360...what's that all about? One of the things on the list is that the controllers dont come with a power cord...oh no...thats bad especially since u can just buy any usb cord plug it up and have it charge the controller...whats that like and extra $5...OH NO!!! besides the charge time is really short for the controllers while the battery last FOREVER...I rarely have to ever charge mine. I can get a $30 blutooth headset and save on having to buy a $60 ghetto earpeice for the 360 as well. In the long run when games start getting better and better as far a graphics go...PS3 will own. Since their games are on blu-ray and hold more than a dvd their games will be able to support the better quality and longer games in the future...while 360 will only be able to take so much on their dvds. ps3 games will also support full 1080p. The only real bad thing that i can point out is that there is no rumble...but the thing is its coming by the end of this year...so now what are u xbox fans gonna be able to say...not much. If anything the 360 will be the one to fail...it came out the earliest of all of the systems and look what happened to Sega and their Dreamcast...coming out that early is not always a good thing. I can point out all of this stuff for the 360 but most all of the 360 fans can just say..."PS3 sucks...I hope it burns...blah blah blah" and you have nothing to back it up...seems to me you are just afraid that the ps3 will run you over. So all in all I can get a fully loaded PS3 for the price of about $700...while if i wanted to make the 360 anywhere near as good i would have to spend up to $1000 on the stupid thing...and microsoft doesnt need any more money. I could go on and on with 360 problem but Ive already made this long enough and I dont want to make u 360 fans cry...so im just gonna stop here. Oh wait heres a funny random fact...PS2 sold more consoles than the 360 did within the same month that the 360 came out...and ps2 still is selling more consoles than any other console out there...thats funny!

No that's shit. Awesome would be playing any game on any platform (within reason, naturally) -- not this exclusivity where gamers get raped into buying into a platform just so they can play a single game.

Another thing, does sony make you purchase rechargable batteries, no, it comes with the system, unlike 360 where i have to go and pay for the stupid thing seperately.

No so much balance there... You want people to bundle things in or not?

The problem that I, and other people have with the PS3 and Sony is they do massively ridiculous things on a regular basis. The run up to the launch has had the most but you're still dealing with the same company.

I'm not a 360 fanboy -- I don't even have one -- and the original article was a catalogue of Sony's fuck-ups and dropped balls along this epic journey. I'm not saying everybody else is perfect.

Oh wait heres a funny random fact...PS2 sold more consoles than the 360 did within the same month that the 360 came out...and ps2 still is selling more consoles than any other console out there...thats funny!
